The story of Binance Chain

Binance is a rapidly scaling global cryptocurrency exchange. Binance Chain is launched as part of Binance’s effort to push the industry forward, to empower community growth and to foster the long-term vision of peer-to-peer trading. The absence of central custody of funds shall offer users more control over assets in the long-term and enable a trustless and transparent financial system.

Governance in Binance Chain

Originally Binance and trusted blockchain industry partners, BNB stakers and validators are involved in the governance process. Binance aims to gradually decentralize the Binance chain governance. Binance Chain has already its own built-in governance module. Anyone can submit a proposal to add a new trading pair upon deposition a certain BNB amount. Then, the proposal will be up vor a vote among BNB holders.

More about the Binance Chain governance process can be found here.
